FLAVOUR MASTERS DRINK COMPETITION BY MATHIEU TEISSEIRE: GRAND WINNER JORDAN IOANNIDIS
The first Flavour Masters Drink Competition by Mathieu Teisseire in Greece concluded with great success in an atmospheric, festive ambiance. On June 17, at the exceptional venue of 42 Barstronomy Athens, five contestants from all over Greece had the opportunity to test their skills in three distinct challenges, guided by their passion for authentic taste and innovation.
The first challenge invited the participants to discover the ratio of ingredients in the iconic cherry syrup of Mathieu Teisseire using their taste and smell. They then had the chance to create their unique syrup by mixing various ingredients.
In the second challenge, the contestants were tasked with using the syrup they created to craft and present a cocktail that tells the story of their passion for true flavor.
After a brief seminar on how colors evoke different emotions and how these can positively influence their creations behind the bar, the third and final challenge followed. The participants created a cocktail using Mathieu Teisseire syrups, highlighting the color they desired in their creations and the emotion it evoked in them.
The grand winner of the competition, who stood out for his knowledge, presence, and the authentic taste captured in his creations, was Jordan Ioannidis from Thessaloniki. He will represent Greece in the global final to be held next October in Paris.
The Flavour Masters Drink Competition by Mathieu Teisseire was honored by the presence of judges Aristotelis Papadopoulos (World Champion at Global World Class 2009, Brand Ambassador for Greece for The London Essence Co. and Mathieu Teisseire, Co-creator of Handcrafted Bitters from Soulshakers Bar Services, Co-owner of Soulshakers Bar Services), Deni Kalivoka (Founder of Aegean Cocktails & Spirits & Metron Ariston Making Responsibility a Trend, Co-owner of Difford’s Guide Greece & Cyprus, Co-organizer of Athens Cocktail Festival, Athens Rum & Whisky Festival, and Cyprus Cocktail Festival), and Nikos Ginaryros (Champion of Greek World Class 2021, Co-owner and Bar Manager of Plum Paxos and Porto Vecchio), bringing their experience and prestige to the competition.
