THE FIRST GLOBAL FLAVOUR MASTERS COMPETITION BY MATHIEU TEISSEIRE HAS CONCLUDED
The first global Flavour Masters competition by Mathieu Teisseire concluded with impressive success, bringing new inspiration and energy to the world of bartending. The competition, which began in April 2024, took place in five countries — France, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, and Vietnam — showcasing talents who competed in three creative phases. The participants, among them the Greek contestant Jordan Ioannidis, had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and creativity while also attending seminars that delved into the science and emotions behind authentic flavor. Under the guidance of experts from Givaudan, a leading company in the fields of flavors and fragrances, and the international team from Mathieu Teisseire, the participants gained valuable knowledge and inspiration for creating unique taste experiences.Winners from each country traveled to France for three days filled with activities, including visits to the Mathieu Teisseire facilities in Crolles, where the production plant is located, and the company’s studio in Paris. During their stay, the contestants took part in three unique challenges:
- Get to Know Grenadine
At their first stop in the Crolles factory, guided by Fabrice Landreau and the tasting team of Mathieu Teisseire, participants were tasked with creating their own version of the iconic Grenadine syrup, adding their unique touch. - Flavours from Nature
In the gardens of La Maison Aribert, at the foot of the Alps — the place where Mathieu Teisseire was inspired to create his first syrup — participants used natural aromas to craft two cocktails inspired by nature, in an environment that highlighted the essence of authentic flavor. - Emotion 3 Ways
In the studio of Mathieu Teisseire in Paris, participants attended a seminar led by the Global Brand Ambassador of Mathieu Teisseire, Marie Cabaret, and the Givaudan team, exploring the connection between flavor and emotions. They then presented three unique beverage creations designed to evoke different feelings using Mathieu Teisseire syrups.
After a rigorous evaluation, Maxence Piattelli from France was crowned the first Global Flavour Master, winning the opportunity to travel to significant international beverage exhibitions and participate in specialized seminars. He stated: “It is an honor to be the winner of Flavour Masters. My participation has broadened my knowledge and provided me with invaluable experiences in the science and art of authentic flavour.”
The Flavour Masters competition presented an excellent opportunity for bartenders, offering them not only the chance to showcase their skills but also to gain valuable knowledge and experiences. Stay tuned for upcoming challenges and the exploration of authentic flavors with Mathieu Teisseire!
